The answer to the wolf problem in Wisconsin is to elect a governor who will bring accountability to the office. Anyone who likes to hunt deer and would like to have the tradition passed on to the younger generations will vote for such a person. There has always been bear, coyotes and bobcats but they play second fiddle to the apex predator, the wolf. Wolves travel long distances to seek out their prey, whitetail deer. Wolves have no natural enemies. After the 2021 wolf season wolf numbers made a re-bound after the following spring with new litters of pups. Wolves eat whatever they catch including black bear. Wolves are part of the wilderness but their numbers should be controlled like other species. A resolution was approved at the 2022 Spring Hearings that set a wolf goal of 350 or less. The Wolf Management Plan approved in 1999 and 2007 set the population goal at 350 wolves. Why isn’t there a a numeric population goal of 350 wolves in the Wolf Management Plan?

Thank you for what you are doing. Please keep us informed and updated on your work in Wisconsin. Please hold our (com artist) DNR accountable. We have not had a wolf season in years, how can the population be less this year than last year? Also, the number of antlerless tags they allow is ridiculous. Ask any hunter, the number of deer that people see, does not support this. We all feel that the DNR is just trying to sell more tags to pad their pockets.
